October has been another whirlwind adventure! We haven't stopped buzzing from start to end!
So, we didn't just attend the Invent 2018 Awards… we won TWO categories! - The Creative & Consumer Media award and Best Pitch award! We couldn't be happier, we have worked very hard over the past few months to make our social media, our platform and ourselves better. With this award, our prize funds will go directly into making the platform even better. We have some amazing features on the way.
We have also been working really hard to make our social media more valuable to you guys, and by doing so, we have launched our first ever iTunes channel. We believe this a major step forward in making our content more accessible.
Throughout the month, we have grown online and want to keep that momentum going. We now have 1200+ users online using our platform, with just under 50 listers from PT's to Sports Massage therapists. We have really expanded our database and we hope it will keep on growing each day with you guys involved.
This award couldn't have come at a better time. As with every start-up, it has been a testing journey. There are hundreds of times we question why we are doing what we are doing. This award really demonstrated to us that we are walking the right path, and we intend to keep on moving forward.
Not only did we win our own category, but Andrew & Jason won the BEST PITCH! We decided to excite the evening and wear a 118-118 costume as a little bit of a marketing stunt. The pitch was 60 seconds long, in which we described our company – no time at all for us, if you’ve ever met us! The winner would be decided on Twitter RTs - the "people’s champ", some may say. We managed to get 200+ RTs on the night so it was definitely all worth it!
Our great friends at The Startup Van hosted their Behind the Curtain series in London this month and it was a great event! The idea behind it, is that they would invite a guest onto their talk show, but no one would know the name and profession of the guest. We did not know who the guests would be, but sure it would be guests we were interested in.
We were surprised when it turned out to be the owners of LDNM - London Muscle . Tom & J were very insightful guests and went through their journey in the world of a start-up. They had an incredible story and even the things they are doing now are really inspiring, like visiting a local prison to talk about how their inmates can accomplish something after being released in the PT world.
